Grand Canyon Flight Training
All in Aviation offers Flight training in the Grand Canyon. We fly out of (KVGT) and Henderson Executive Airport (KHND).
Grand Canyon Form
A Flight you will never forget
Don’t just see one of the 7 wonders of the world, learn how to fly over it!! At All In Aviation, you will be at the controls with one of our Certified Flight Instructors (CFI) over the Grand Canyon!
Combining the thrill of flying a technologically advanced aircraft with the awe, depth & splendor of the Grand Canyon is checking off these bucket list items with authority.
Both the Las Vegas Class B Airspace and the Grand Canyon Special Flight Restrictions Area (SFRA) Airspace can be intimidating even for the most experienced pilot.
With a capable and qualified CFI instructing and guiding your way, you can rest assured that you won’t violate airspace, yet you will maximize the experience.
You will meet with one of our skilled CFI’s at our Henderson Executive Airport (KHND) Headquarters location. If needed, our pilot shop has paper sectional charts available, as you will review the flight plan mission in one of our private briefing rooms.
We recommend utilizing our Cirrus SR22 or SR22T aircraft for air conditioning, speed and load carrying capability, but also have Cessna 172s and AC equipped SR20’s available. You will pre-flight the aircraft together and start your 60 mile journey east, potentially setting sight on the Hoover Dam enroute.
Upon arrival at the SFRA, the options are endless and vast!! Many opt to explore over designated areas, while others look to navigate the many designated low level corridors or choose to land at Grand Canyon National Airport (KGCN) or Grand Canyon West Airport (1G4) to get even closer!!
Keep in mind that these are very remote locations, and cell service does not work, so plan accordingly.
Just to the south of the Grand Canyon is one of the most beautiful airports in the world… Sedona, AZ (KSEZ). Many clients look to combine these 2 pinnacle aviation locales and have lunch at the iconic Mesa Grill airport restaurant.
The views of beautiful mesas & desert landscape with runway in the foreground is an image that will be permanently etched in your memory. Every pilot’s logbook needs to have KSEZ in it, but don’t attempt your first landing there without a qualified instructor.
With the runway atop a mesa and cliffs on either end, it can be a very challenging and intimidating airport, but one that will give you the highest level of accomplishment.
All pricing is a la carte, as each Grand Canyon training mission is customized and unique to your individual desires. Aircraft charges are based on the “Hobbs” meter, which measures the time engine is running, while flight instructor charges are based on “door-to-door” time that you spend with the CFI from your arrival to departure at All In Aviation.
